Escape magazine is something of a first in customer marketing
Initially produced for Empire Cinemas, by Summersault, it is free of charge to customers and packed with film reviews, listings, features, and cinema and product advertising.
Now in its third year, due to the collaboration of Summersault with Empire, Apollo and Showcase Cinema marketing teams, each issue is now adapted for each cinema chain with certain change pages, while the bulk remains the same.
From a commercial perspective, this works extremely well, with all three brands having their own branded publication at a fraction of the cost.
This also makes Escape magazine one of the best free cinema listings publications in the UK, with a circulation in excess of 300,000 every issue.
Having our own magazine to help promote our brand as well as sell more cinema tickets has proven hugely successful and we are very excited at the current developments leading from it.

Due to the success of the publication and the brand collaboration, Summersault is now developing a corresponding fully interactive app for tablet and smartphone utilizing existing content from Escape magazine and enhanced with film assets, audio and video.
